I received this book from Freebooksy to read it and write a review This book was written for young adults The plot was dragged out The characters for me were flat The main character was too nice, too forgiving The premise of the story was she was a young actor that was placed into the acting field at 14 by her mother and became famous She has health issues that you don t find out until near the end of the book that it was the plot of the whole story There were conflict of issues going on, I received this book from Freebooksy to read it and write a review This book was written for young adults The plot was dragged out The characters for me were flat The main character was too nice, too forgiving The premise of the story was she was a young actor that was placed into the acting field at 14 by her mother and became famous She has health issues that you don t find out until near the end of the book that it was the plot of the whole story There were conflict of issues going on, Teenage sex, hollywood drama, drugs, sex, paparazzi, religion and the issue of waiting to have sex till you were married But they dragged out unimportant issues and the important issue was lightly touched upon it.I would not recommend it to a teenager When I read a book I like to become involved in the story, the characters are complex and you want to think about them, They become your friends and you can t wait til the sequel to find out what happens next This book left you dry, I don t want to ready any of these books. This book did not appeal to me

I was given this book by Freebooksy for an honest review. This was a story about a coming of age girl in Hollywood.Where do I start I understand this is a YA book, however, I read many genres and this book was horrible The book seemed like it was written by an 8th grader There story line wasn t believable, the characters were flat, and the gossip was so over the top I would not recommend spending the time to read There are so many other good books to waste time on such a horrible read.

First off I have to say that I received a copy of this book for an honest review I read this book in three days It had a really great story and I did find that I wanted to keep reading However, it seemed a little corny and cheesy I realize I am 31 and this was written for a young adult I was rooting for the main character and her best friend the whole way through There were many twists and turns that I never saw coming I also felt that it could have been a true account of a Hollywood star First off I have to say that I received a copy of this book for an honest review I read this book in three days It had a really great story and I did find that I wanted to keep reading However, it seemed a little corny and cheesy I realize I am 31 and this was written for a young adult I was rooting for the main character and her best friend the whole way through There were many twists and turns that I never saw coming I also felt that it could have been a true account of a Hollywood starlet I would gladly read the rest of the books in the series Edited to add I love that this book was about a Native American actress rather than the typical white girl actress

I ve been a reader of YA since I was of the age to read YA I would often read and discuss books with my daughter when those were her preferred choices So, I was prepared for the immaturity of the main character, and her excessive vacillation on decisions I wanted to really like this book because it seemed to present a different picture to the over reported train wreck stories of teenage actresses But, I think that the author tried to incorporate all of the wrongs inherent to the pric I ve been a reader of YA since I was of the age to read YA I would often read and discuss books with my daughter when those were her preferred choices So, I was prepared for the immaturity of the main character, and her excessive vacillation on decisions I wanted to really like this book because it seemed to present a different picture to the over reported train wreck stories of teenage actresses But, I think that the author tried to incorporate all of the wrongs inherent to the price of fame, that the characters were difficult and frustrating to empathize with Liana particularly as she frequently mentions her therapist and her stint in rehab one would expect a little stronger tether to reality and emotions Much of her remove is laid off on the pressures of Hollywood, her career, the public s expectation, her mother s determination and single minded attention to career first And sadly, the shell of a girl is as deep as her character went And that was unfortunate Now, I will say that there is a strong appeal for thefaith minded reader Liana is quite vocal and judgmental about premarital sex and her wish to be normal, married and have children But one can be vocal and believe, without appearing to preach, and that happened far too often for me I am, however, not a regular reader ofinspirational reads These are, however, all my own opinions I think most 14 and 15 year olds would appreciate the insider view, and seeing that someone on the screen has much of the same issues and insecurities that they often have themselves Unfortunately, I think that there were some missed opportunities to deal with both Liana s health issues and her need to be in love and thinking that it would solve all of her other problems It was a good first story, but I would like to see others in this series to becharacter focused and less emphasis on the day to day issues dealing with her work I received a copy of the book from the author for purpose of honest review I was not compensated for this review, and all conclusions are my own responsibility
