So practical and a great quick grab book The first in the series was so helpful for getting our daughter to sleep 12 hours a night by 4.5months old So glad to have the next book in the series for feeding tips.

A lot of the same info in their first book.

Great for some things, less great for others The section on common illness is a good reference and one of the most useful sections in the book I question some of their feeding and sleeping suggestions, like saying that ice cream and ranch dressing are acceptable for toddlers and their absolute insistence on the use of a white noise machine for sleeping They also claim to be not another Cry It Out book while advocating a very harsh no contact method of CIO We ll be sticking with Ferber for sleep recommendations Their being self published also means that the book badly needs editing The run on sentences and inappropriate comma usage are annoyin...

get for the feeding activity sleeping schedules through 12months and the introduction of solid foods step by stepleave pretty much the rest behind anything else worthwhile like the illness reference is included in the 0 6mo book as well the schedules are great up to a point, after that their opinions on how to raise, control and discipline a child get in the way of basic instruction and become too all or nothing.for instance, when introducing the toddler bed they instruct one to lock the child in their bedroom at bedtime and don t let them out again until 7am and that after 1 3 nights of this they will be trained to obediently and happily somehow go to bed at the pr...

This book is oddly specific I m giving it three starts because implementing their schedule for a while helped me get my baby into much better napping habits, but ultimately their system is too rigid for me Would definitely recommend for working moms who need a very specific system and schedule

Needed sleep helpWhile this book did have a lot of things that I ve read in other books the information was presented in a very friendly and supportive way I liked that it was very detailed, for me it took out the guess work associated with being a first time mom.

  10. Amanda says:

An excellent continuation of their first book with helpful instructions on introducing finger foods and changes in naps.
