I have received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review Are you kidding me The book ended NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOI wantedWait a minute Will this have a sequel Because if so I could probably forgive the lack of an epilogue C mon, why didn t you write an epilogue for some years later I am soooo upset about that right now.I actually enjoyed this read so very much It was written in a very easy to read manner It was fun, and although it had its anxiety fill I have received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review Are you kidding me The book ended NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOI wantedWait a minute Will this have a sequel Because if so I could probably forgive the lack of an epilogue C mon, why didn t you write an epilogue for some years later I am soooo upset about that right now.I actually enjoyed this read so very much It was written in a very easy to read manner It was fun, and although it had its anxiety filled moments it wasn t over the top All was done super great.I only gave it 4 because of the missing epilogue and the fact that Liz was only 15, maybe if she was a bit older it would have beenok for my liking But who am I scamming Love doesn t have time barriers, right Right I had my doubts about Logan s interest at first because he was just so into Liz from the first time he saw her but now I see that he was the real deal And OMG could a guy beromantic than that I loved all his gestures for her.I liked Liz very much, she was a little shy, and modest and had some brave cojones for putting up with all that at home, she was also loyal and funny and friendly I enjoyed reading her POV.Why I would like a sequel, and for the love of all that is holy, I hope you read this Ms Renee 1 For me the Amanda thread was not fully closed.2 I want to knowabout Kim, she was a wonderful friend and she sounds super interesting.3 I want to know if Liz s mom gets together with Logan s dad, that would be at the same time awesome and freaky I mean for our two lovebirds.4 I wantof Adam and Bryant.5 What s up with Logan not wanting to reveal his drawings From what I got they are amazing, and he didn t show them to Liz in the span of this book So I think that needs to be addressed.6 I wantbackground on Logan Why did Becky say he was an asshole I want to read something from his POV, that would be AMAZING.7 I want a freaking EPILOGUE I swear to God, this is the last time I m gonna mention the epilogue But if you write something please put it somewhere visible, I want want want. And I should stop here before I send you my Christmas list LOLLoved it chica, really Later edit 10.02.2014I had to change my rating due to the fact that my most fervent reason for not giving it 5 stars was solved YUPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEI am so so so happy right now.I want to just spread kisses all over the world.XOXOXOXOXO

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.Fun fact This is the second book I ve read in a row that s mentioned an Adele song I swear this singer is everywhere.I liked this book The characters were definite and never vague, and there was one certain character who always kept you on the edge of your seat with their unpredictability The plot was easy to follow and tied up rather nicely maybe a little bit too nicely, but after what Liz and her family went through its easy not to car I received this book in exchange for an honest review.Fun fact This is the second book I ve read in a row that s mentioned an Adele song I swear this singer is everywhere.I liked this book The characters were definite and never vague, and there was one certain character who always kept you on the edge of your seat with their unpredictability The plot was easy to follow and tied up rather nicely maybe a little bit too nicely, but after what Liz and her family went through its easy not to care about how conveniently things fall into place.Saying that, the plot had its predictable moments view spoiler A baby that calls Liz mama rumours about Liz dropping out of school to have a baby I wonder if those two things will coincide. A job vacancy and free flat mentioned halfway ish through the book someone looking for a job and a new home at the end of the bookI wonder how that would work out. hide spoiler The predictable moments didn t really bother me since I was too caught up with the characters, and there are some unpredictable moments especially in regards to a certain character.I thought that the characterisations were very nicely done The teenagers sounded like teenagers , the trashy people sounded trashy, the child sounded like and adorable child and so on Liz and Kim s friendship came off as genuine, which is great since they re such different people from different backgrounds And I am very relieved that I m not the only reviewer who thought Logan was going to do a 180 and decide to be a dick to Liz or tell her that them dating was all a prank There s just something about Logan that makes you question how genuinely he feels for Liz maybe Liz s insecurities were stuck in our heads and we weren t expecting her to have such a nice, romantic and genuine love interest I really wish we learnedabout Logan And why is it suddenly mentioned that he s fluent in French in the second half of the book rather than nearer the start That random little fact, to me, just kind of popped out of nowhere and disappeared again And an opportunity to have cute funny French speaking moments was missed c But, luckily, there are twobooks to be written so maybe we ll get to find outabout him, his art, and why he s even fluent in French in the first place This was a really enjoyable book and I d recommend it to anyone who likes YA romance with a warning about certain themes, of course Now I think about it, I found it funny that Logan kept calling Liz love it made him sound old lol , but maybe that s just something NZ teenagers don t say

4 starsI really enjoyed reading this book and I couldn t put it down once I started reading I was disappointed when I finished reading it because it could have been longer or there should be a sneak peek in their future It was a happy ending but it s the type even though it s the end it felt lacking Elizabeth Liz moved back to her old middle school and started a new New name minus the extra body weight She not only tries to live her new image but she also tries to escape the problems home 4 starsI really enjoyed reading this book and I couldn t put it down once I started reading I was disappointed when I finished reading it because it could have been longer or there should be a sneak peek in their future It was a happy ending but it s the type even though it s the end it felt lacking Elizabeth Liz moved back to her old middle school and started a new New name minus the extra body weight She not only tries to live her new image but she also tries to escape the problems home She then captured the attention of Logan, a senior student As they start to have relationship Liz has trouble deciding whether to be with Logan or not due to the baggage she carries.Safer outside was just written right but probably except for the ending but that s just for me Liz may still be insecure about herself but she grew stronger as the story goes on Despite being with Logan she still thinks of her family and will do anything for them to keep them safe She is far stronger than her mother I hated her throughout the whole story but liked her a little bit at the end In the end, it was up to her to save her family Logan was really sweet I had trepidations about them being together at first but Logan won me, I mean Liz He is also very romantic The things he did for her for showing his feelings for her were just so so I m glad that he turned out to be a great guy Liz mother was well, let s just say she had her wake up call and it took Liz for her to realize that she was really in the wrong But overall, it was great read It s pretty realistic although the feelings of Logan and Liz for each other were probably too fast I can t wait to read the rest of this series once it s out.I received an arc in exchange for an honest review

I was given an ARC provided by the author.I realy liked this book It was so full of emotions that overwhelmed me sometimes The heroine is only a teenager and already has to deal with some pretty serious shit in life She was very mature for her age It was like she s hundreds of years old with all the problems she has, but she pulled through and she managed to take care of her siblings That was kind of amazing Logan was so sweet and kind and wanted to be there for Liz but she was so stubborn I was given an ARC provided by the author.I realy liked this book It was so full of emotions that overwhelmed me sometimes The heroine is only a teenager and already has to deal with some pretty serious shit in life She was very mature for her age It was like she s hundreds of years old with all the problems she has, but she pulled through and she managed to take care of her siblings That was kind of amazing Logan was so sweet and kind and wanted to be there for Liz but she was so stubborn and I honestly wanted to smack her on the head I know she thinks she had a good reason for acting like that but I think it would be all a lot easier if she just confided in him.Jessiehmsorry excuse for a human being I was sick at times when I read about how he was and what did he do I wished so many times something to happen, a lightning or a meteor so it would end his sorry life For the longest time into the book I thought the same for Liz s mother I mean, what kind of person, or better yet, what kind of mother let somebody treat her children like that I was so angry at her and although for some she made up for it, she never will if you ask me The story was great, the characters even better and I enjoyed reading it very much

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review Contains Spoliers M WARNING YOU TURN BACK NOWLAST CHANCE.OKKKKKAAAAAYYYYY5 stars to the author for setting this in the bay area.Safer Outside is a story about a girl who likes the be referred to as Liz , she was trying to keep the fat girl profile away from her, so she could re invent herself at her new school.Growing up I related to Liz , I was the mother hen to my younger brothers and have witnessed abuse, so this kind of brought up some I was given a copy of this book for an honest review Contains Spoliers M WARNING YOU TURN BACK NOWLAST CHANCE.OKKKKKAAAAAYYYYY5 stars to the author for setting this in the bay area.Safer Outside is a story about a girl who likes the be referred to as Liz , she was trying to keep the fat girl profile away from her, so she could re invent herself at her new school.Growing up I related to Liz , I was the mother hen to my younger brothers and have witnessed abuse, so this kind of brought up some feelings But I did see this character as her thinking too low of herself, I kind of at times wanted to slap her, but she is not Bella thank God Liz could stand to be stronger, seemed like she had balls to go toe to toe with her Stepfather and Mother, trying to put them in their places, but when it came to her boyfriend Logan, she would be submissive but she had her bitch card to keep him in check Logan is a cocky one but like all book boyfriends we want him to care for us and be alpha but he didn t overstep his boundaries Also I appreciated that there was too much texting dialogue, I find them to be extremely boring and honestly stupid, view spoiler but it would of been nice to see the text Jesse sent to Logan hide spoiler.A lot of the home scenes were boring because all she did yes was take care of Brian and Macy but I would of loved to read the condition of the house and get a feel exactly, not just that she lived near a strip mall and there was pit bulls around, I know San Jose is ghetto certain areas but there could of beeneffort put into scenery absolutely had my face slapping moment Where I blushed and I can agree that most ladies have said this during sex I want to have your babies Yes, I laughed and hid under the pillow, I died for Liz, and I imagined Logan s face, yea it was funny GUSHED, over the things Logan did, he was just romantic, always so patient and thinking of Liz There could of been a little bitdrama with Becky and Amanda, just some snips here and there Austin in my opinion really had no place here, he was sprinkled in certain parts but in any romance novel the rule is there has to be at least one gay character.Overall I enjoyed reading this, only sad thing was it was too short, 250 pages was not enough for me I wanted to continue and was super bummed out I hope that this isn t a stand alone, I feel that there is total potential in this book and I have faith Give Logan somemeat, I feel the mom and Kim gotaction in the book.Sexual scenes were true, as to what teenagers do It wasn t smutty, it was just about a girl and her feelings and how she felt I also admired that she wasn t so obsessed with being a virgin, that she knew if it was going to happen, she wanted to be ready view spoiler Mom in this book, I felt there also could of beenmeat there especially during the miscarrage hide spoiler This was a great book I do recommend that you give this Indie author a chance, I see her getting big like Jamie Mcguire This story had the great balance of emotion and power I m grateful that someone decides to share their creativity with us good or bad I m being Honest and for the price of this ebook is just right now go and please spread the word of this book PLEASE MAKE book 2 AND LONGER

ARC provided by Author for an Honest Review3.5 StarsSafer Outside was a very quick and in many ways typical YA romance Boy meets girl, the two dance around each other a bit, before girl gives in What I really enjoyed about the story was Liz s personality For someone her age, Liz deals with a lot of crap Not only does she get picked on for being the chubby girl at school, she also has a step father that Liz knows is just waiting for his chance to do something awful Needless to say Liz s home ARC provided by Author for an Honest Review3.5 StarsSafer Outside was a very quick and in many ways typical YA romance Boy meets girl, the two dance around each other a bit, before girl gives in What I really enjoyed about the story was Liz s personality For someone her age, Liz deals with a lot of crap Not only does she get picked on for being the chubby girl at school, she also has a step father that Liz knows is just waiting for his chance to do something awful Needless to say Liz s home life sucks Her stepfather has a job that is if one considers drug dealing as a qualifying position Even with some money coming in, the family relies on Liz to take care of them even if a necessity in their household is getting cigarettes for her mother Liz takes care of her younger half siblings In fact the youngest even calls her momma, clearly showing how much time Liz spends with them but she ll do anything to help or protect them even dealing with her skeevy stepdad Having moved away a few years ago, Liz is ready to return to her old school with her old friends as she has shed a few pounds, taken on a new moniker and is ready to finish high school with a bang A few of the shifty girls try and cause problems for Liz but that s mostly due to jealousy Logan wants Liz as soon as he sees her Something about Liz calls to him even if they never met before Liz is obviously super hesitant to start anything, heaven forbid Logan should actually find out about her home life But Logan doesn t give up easily and slowly but surely he has his claws into Liz Now don t get me wrong I like Logan but for some odd reason I was always suspicious of him Like any minute he was going to turn around and laugh at Liz like some sick high school prank I hope this is just me but I think it may be because we don t really get an insight into who Logan is I feel like I know Liz but when it comes to Logan there is a slight disconnect that leaves me weary Not to mention how quickly he fell for her and vice versa, insta love is always suspicious to me but throw in a self conscious girl with home problems and I think I wasworried than she was Overall I really enjoyed this story It was sweet with just enough drama to keep things interesting I was a little shocked by how quickly everything happened in the end, especially how everything wrapped up but I was still pleased nonetheless I do wish there wascharacter development at least on Logan s side but Liz made up for his personality quirks with her take charge attitude and devotion to family
