Spoiled Pink which I received from Goodreads Giveaways is a delightful story which children will love In this story the King and Queen love to indulge their daughter who s obsessed with the colour pink When the Princess decides she wants a pink dog and horse her father tries to fulfill her wish, only to make her fantasy come true with the help of a benevolent witch, What the King will soon realize is that the last gift holds a spell that will break the Princess s fascination with the colour Spoiled Pink which I received from Goodreads Giveaways is a delightful story which children will love In this story the King and Queen love to indulge their daughter who s obsessed with the colour pink When the Princess decides she wants a pink dog and horse her father tries to fulfill her wish, only to make her fantasy come true with the help of a benevolent witch, What the King will soon realize is that the last gift holds a spell that will break the Princess s fascination with the colour pink. The narrative is captivating to listen to for younger children and readable for school age girls from 6 8 years The plot flows smoothly and is rich in lessons about the hazard of over indulging children, the unconditional love of a parent, to expect the unexpected and that love transcends material things Set in medieval times, the story will enthrall children who love castles, nature and a well written fairy tale I loved the pink letter at the start of each page as if the writer herself was enthralled by the colour. The illustrations in this beautifully crafted picture book are drawn in coloured pencil Seemingly simplistic they are very detailed and eye catching with a mix of gentle and cheerful colours I plan to share this book with children who I know will love it and will read it again and again
