This book deserves waythan 5 stars I LOVED it Like horror s version of Homer s The Odyssey, this epic tale will take you on an unforgettable journey And it s just as imaginative and captivating, too Action packed and thrilling, this compilation of Episodes Six through Ten picks up where Episode Five ended Within these pages, readers not only learn the fates of the the surviving characters from the previous episodes, but also the origin of Cruelty, Forgiveness, and Regret, This book deserves waythan 5 stars I LOVED it Like horror s version of Homer s The Odyssey, this epic tale will take you on an unforgettable journey And it s just as imaginative and captivating, too Action packed and thrilling, this compilation of Episodes Six through Ten picks up where Episode Five ended Within these pages, readers not only learn the fates of the the surviving characters from the previous episodes, but also the origin of Cruelty, Forgiveness, and Regret, and their connection to the Withered and the Roaming horrid places devoid of hope and replete with despair This is one of those stories that get you so involved in what s going on, you ll catch yourself holding your breath Everything comes together for a most satisfying ending I honestly tried to savor this incredible horror adventure, but found it so difficult to stop reading each night I just had to know what was going to happen next Lorn s writing is truly superb Rich with the most creative figurative language, I truly relished this story from beginning to end Plus humor, too, which I greatly appreciate in stories like these And if all of those exceptional qualities weren t enough, there are great pop cultural references, including one to Better known as Daryl Dixon which is almost enough in itself to earn this book five stars But no need to rely solely on that because truly, this book is simply legendaryYou will do great things PsstEdward Lorn, I think he s talking to YOU Brilliant view spoiler I have to admit, I absolutely LOVED everything Lorn wrote about Tom and Nell My eyes even misted at the end hide spoiler

Cruelty goes farther with its own mythos and violence than I ever imagined would be possible when I started this I greatly enjoyed both 5 episode collections and recommend to any fans of horror.Note I was provided this copy by the author in exchange for a fair and unbiased review. When it comes to demons, dieties, and possesion, it seems like all those tales have been told However, Cruelty is strikingly original while covering those topics and many others in this fast paced, hallucinatory horro Cruelty goes farther with its own mythos and violence than I ever imagined would be possible when I started this I greatly enjoyed both 5 episode collections and recommend to any fans of horror.Note I was provided this copy by the author in exchange for a fair and unbiased review. When it comes to demons, dieties, and possesion, it seems like all those tales have been told However, Cruelty is strikingly original while covering those topics and many others in this fast paced, hallucinatory horrorfest I was starting to doubt that Edward could bring this whirlwind of activity and characters to any kind of resolution, but I m please to report he pulled it off in a major way.The Final act of Cruelty is by turns suspenseful, mysterious, and horrific with an underlying sense of humor My only regret hehe is that I wasn t on board from the beginning, so I didn t consume these episodes one at at time I think I would have enjoyed the anticipation between episodes and rereading parts while waiting As it is, I could easily see rereading the entire 10 episodes and enjoying it all again My criticisms includes minor spoilers, so skip if you haven t read yet view spoiler Mia seemed to have too big of a role to play to introduce relatively late in the game Some additional motivation backstory for her would have been awesome What have these entities been doing for the last 90 years Why did it take so long to add Mother Mary Regret into the group While I loved Merlo s role, it seems that they may have had issues with dogs prior to nowbut maybe the ability to regenerate takes care of that And maybe certain character s abilities to hide happennings from the world explain a lot of this hide spoiler Overall, these criticisms are minor and did not detract from my enjoyment, but help explain why 4 stars instead of 5 Of course, I will take a 4 star read any day of the week Enjoy

The twisted promise of Edward Lorn s first half of Cruelty isthan fulfilled by A Final Act of Cruelty Throughout the second half, the author further explores the minds, histories, and motivations not only of the protagonists, but also of the presumed villains of the piece In fact, as the story proceeds, the characterizations getcomplex and it isn t quite as easy to know for whom one should be rooting The author also pulls off the impressive feat of making the story feel both grand The twisted promise of Edward Lorn s first half of Cruelty isthan fulfilled by A Final Act of Cruelty Throughout the second half, the author further explores the minds, histories, and motivations not only of the protagonists, but also of the presumed villains of the piece In fact, as the story proceeds, the characterizations getcomplex and it isn t quite as easy to know for whom one should be rooting The author also pulls off the impressive feat of making the story feel both grander andpersonal at the same time Once can t easily guess where it will all end up, but it all makes sense in the end An excellent and satisfying conclusion to a rousing tale
