The author did a good job bringing the characters to life The interactions between Carl and Annie were hilariously funny and easy to relate to I especially enjoyed the descriptions of Ngaire, Annie s ex soon to be mother in law She definitely was the kind of person that would make you cringe once you found out she was your fiancee s mother It is a lovely tale of a woman refinding her joy in living Annie had got stuck in rut in her job and love life She was miserable in both situations and The author did a good job bringing the characters to life The interactions between Carl and Annie were hilariously funny and easy to relate to I especially enjoyed the descriptions of Ngaire, Annie s ex soon to be mother in law She definitely was the kind of person that would make you cringe once you found out she was your fiancee s mother It is a lovely tale of a woman refinding her joy in living Annie had got stuck in rut in her job and love life She was miserable in both situations and didn t realize it til after the death of her cat, Jazz It is the strangest thing about human nature how unrelated events can cause the brain to shift gears. The story goes at a pretty steady pace but I felt it was a little long I think that I wouldn t have felt as long if it continued to move in present tense The author would sometimes tell the end result and then go back and tell how it happened It was the only aspect I didn t like about the novel The author s descriptions of locations in Greece were beautiful Overall, great read for those who love humorous chick lit

I was sent a free copy of this book by the author, which I am really grateful for, as it was very enjoyable and at times addictive reading.I really liked this book, but sometimes found the travel scenes a bit too long, or maybe it is a spot of envy on my part.I enjoyed the character of Annie and evenof Carl I wish he stayed in the story longer I laughed and squirmed at his travel adventures.I want to adopt the greek Bikakis family, especially Mama I was seeking a bitbadness i I was sent a free copy of this book by the author, which I am really grateful for, as it was very enjoyable and at times addictive reading.I really liked this book, but sometimes found the travel scenes a bit too long, or maybe it is a spot of envy on my part.I enjoyed the character of Annie and evenof Carl I wish he stayed in the story longer I laughed and squirmed at his travel adventures.I want to adopt the greek Bikakis family, especially Mama I was seeking a bitbadness in the bad guys in the book, but as with reality, they weren t really and bad guys except perhaps the boss back in NZ.I appreciated the content in relation to Roz and the effect it had on family and friends it goes to show that the impact of tragic events can last a long time
