This was one of my favorite books growing up! Lizzie was that spunky (sometimes obnoxious) friend that I just couldn't stay away from--in a good way of course. This is a sweet story that deals with real issues, such as moving to a new place, making new friends, and dealing with building a new family after a divorce. All the while, it is quite hilarious. Sometimes you just have to laugh.

  2. Chameli says:

I read Lizzie Logan, Second Banana when I was a kid, and now I'm reading the other two books in the series. This one was way weird, but kind of endearing. Lizzie is just as horrible as I remembered. I don't know why Heather puts up with her, she's so aggravating and a terrible friend.

  3. JennE says:

Heather moves into a new neighborhood and has to decide between being friends with a popular girl or Lizzie Logan...who is different than everyone else, has a step-dad instead of a real dad, and smokes. Lizzie sometimes acts and says things that are hurtful to Heather; is she jealous or trying to help? Heather's mother provides wonderful advice in guiding Heather's choice.

I remember I borrowed this book from my third grade teacher and forgot to give it back. Two years later it still haunted me as the stolen book so I read it fast and gave it to a thrift store.

  7. Elizabeth says:

I remember reading this book a lot when I was like... seven. I'm adding it just so I don't forget what the title of this book is.
