Upper ElementaryMiddle School pulp fiction from the early Seventies A teenager who works part time at the morgue has a close encounter of the ESPclairvoyant fashion He is able to see the body of a young woman in one of the coolers badly burned and disfigured beyond all recognition but wearing a yellow dress with a distinctive pattern that has remained curiously intact She is invisible to everybody else and no accidents of this magnitude have been reported but the local dress shop has sold three of the yellow dresses He must track down the women who purchased them and try to save them from becoming the thing in B 3
This is a book I had on my shelf I had enjoyed it as a child I recently reread it and although it is written for children maybe 6th grade I still enjoyed it as an adultI liked the spare yet complete descriptions the fast paced plot and its gentle introduction and uestioning of a possibly paranormal happening Involves some tense relationships and wondering what is going on Mildly scary if you are not used to scary books
Love the premise but the story gets bogged down in overwriting If someone could re write it and trim it down by a third I'd totally recommend this book to kids
