Hotel is the refuge from the home life but no wonder that refuge turns out to be your own soul, which becomes a home butthan home According to us hotel means a getaway, but for a 26year old widow, AJ, hotel means a part of her identity She inherited a once grand and lavish but now dilapidated old hotel from her grandfather, Jack in the new novella of A.K.Klemm, called The Bookshop Hotel A hotel which is not only a part of some inheritance or heritage, but a hotel which entwines so many Hotel is the refuge from the home life but no wonder that refuge turns out to be your own soul, which becomes a home butthan home According to us hotel means a getaway, but for a 26year old widow, AJ, hotel means a part of her identity She inherited a once grand and lavish but now dilapidated old hotel from her grandfather, Jack in the new novella of A.K.Klemm, called The Bookshop Hotel A hotel which is not only a part of some inheritance or heritage, but a hotel which entwines so many lives together and manages to bring two strangers fall in love with each other a definition of everyone s life surrounding this hotel I never knew that a hotel can change so many lives eventually This story not only gives us insight into the lives of these incredible people surrounding the hotel but also tells us how this hotel brought people close together and how some animosities were removed I cannot even stress much on the fact that how the author has strikingly took us into the journey of each character s life and past in this novella, and made us accustomed with these small town residents within few words only. The plot might not be that striking but the way the author has portrayed this plot is something marvelous A widow returning back to her old roots in a small town called Lilly Hollow after her husband and grandfather s death She gets so broken from the inside because of the death of two closest persons of her life But eventually she makes up her mind on renovating the old hotel that she inherited from her grandfather She gets into the process On her way to renovation, she hires an assistant manager, Matthew, who turns out to be very caring in nature He used to take care of AJ s all needs and tantrums, eventually, falling in love with her But in the end, this hotel brings each one of the characters close with each other. The best part is that the author stresses on the point of returning back to their roots She portrays AJ and her husband, Kevin as a star couple of the small town, Lilly Hollow People used to worship them, but after marriage they both shift from the small town to some big city, thereby making the people of Lilly Hollow disappointed Within short few words, she gives us a life changing lesson and how she has tried to throw the message via this Hotel This hotel isthan a simple hotel, it has got a bookshop which used to have a book club, run by a local woman, Nancy Harrington and used to serve refreshments from a bakery run by Abigail and a deli run by Sam Each and every character has a strong impact on this hotel and each one of them has a part of themselves in this hotel I enjoyed the story from the very beginning and would like to readstories like this In short, if you are looking for some family reunion time and forgiveness and love, then this book will be your best guide.I cannot thank A.K.Klemm, the author of The Bookshop Hotel, enough for giving me this opportunity to read and review her book

I got to read an advanced e copy of The Bookshop Hotel for Grey Gecko Press in exchange for an honest review Were it not for the fact that I read this in the middle of the blazing summer heat, The Bookshop Hotel is the sort of story you want to read under a soft blanket while sipping a cup of hot chocolate It s that cozy Admittedly, the story does start off a bit slowly at first and was not quite what I expected The Bookshop Hotel is very character driven and soof a rebirth renew I got to read an advanced e copy of The Bookshop Hotel for Grey Gecko Press in exchange for an honest review Were it not for the fact that I read this in the middle of the blazing summer heat, The Bookshop Hotel is the sort of story you want to read under a soft blanket while sipping a cup of hot chocolate It s that cozy Admittedly, the story does start off a bit slowly at first and was not quite what I expected The Bookshop Hotel is very character driven and soof a rebirth renewal arc than any plot substance AJ returns to her hometown and begins work on a dream project she and her grandfather shared to restore the old hotel downtown AJ, however, puts a twist on the project instead of returning the property to its former hospitable glory, she converts the space into a charming bookstore And charming it is Based on the excellent descriptions, I found myself wishing such a place really existed bookworm that I am, I d certainly go there Along the way, the reader meets the citizens of Lily Hollow and learns the backstory of AJ, including her tragic past We also get to see AJ take full steps toward healing, courtesy of the bookstore, neighbors, and her two co workers, Ivy and Matthew The story is a bit rushed in some spots and there are some awkward transitions, but seeing as this is a novella which I didn t know , it can be overlooked I am curious as to whether this is going to be a standalone work, or the beginning of a new series, given how the ending is left open ended I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a comfortable, quick, and ultimately entertaining read

This is what she loved most about books It wasn t just about the story in between the covers It was about the stories you remember because of the story Good book, bad book, brilliant book, or terrible, she would always remember what she was feeling or thinking the first time she experienced it from The I Bookshop HotelThat quote pretty much sums up what this book attempts to do It examines the lives of the residents of Lily Hollow as they all experience the renovation and reopening of This is what she loved most about books It wasn t just about the story in between the covers It was about the stories you remember because of the story Good book, bad book, brilliant book, or terrible, she would always remember what she was feeling or thinking the first time she experienced it from The I Bookshop HotelThat quote pretty much sums up what this book attempts to do It examines the lives of the residents of Lily Hollow as they all experience the renovation and reopening of a former hotel as as bookstore and coffee shop I found the story charming, but the character development was minimal, and the transitions from one point of view to the next were jarring because they sometimes switched between person to person in the same paragraph There were various headings throughout the book, meant to describe whose point of view was being conveyed, but those were misleading because even though the heading marked Abigail might start with the musings of Abigail, it might suddenly switch to another character s point of view and internal thoughts.I don t want to give away too much of the plot, but I felt like there was a great deal left unresolved AJ and Matthew, AJ and Sidney, Sidney and Samit was a neat concept in that we were getting bits and pieces of the story as the characters lived thought or remembered things, but it was also a bit confusing Overall, it s a quick, feel good read that anyone with a love of books will delight in
