With each of the skilled woodworkers in this beautifully written and photographed book, I came away with an appreciation for their reverence for the materials they use, the natural environment around them, and the creative force they express through their art Pirjo Raits has captured something of the essence of each artisan We will never have the chance to be a fly on the wall as they work, but the author and photographers give us the next best thing, a book of insight and beauty.
