    This is a compelling book, and also has been turned into a play, which makes one think about the true meaning of friendship,life,personal growth, promises, and death.I couldn t put it down.I wept at the end of both the book, and the play Very few books have touched me this way I highly recommend it.

    This book has been lying around my house for what seemed like ages and it was only today that I actually read it.Honestly I was hesitant to read it mostly because it seemed like the annoying self help book that seem to be dominating the lives of North American society It was a self help book and one that actually helped rather than annoy me.The charactersThe character that really drew me in was not as most people would think Morrie Yes he was wonderful and if I met him in real life I would s This book has been lying around my house for what seemed like ages and it was only today that I actually read it.Honestly I was hesitant to read it mostly because it seemed like the annoying self help book that seem to be dominating the lives of North American society It was a self help book and one that actually helped rather than annoy me.The charactersThe character that really drew me in was not as most people would think Morrie Yes he was wonderful and if I met him in real life I would swoon then invite him out to lunch where I could pretend to be his student and loving call him coach while we talked about nothing, something and everything Mitch was so fascinating to me This man who had turned his back on a lifestyle he swore to keep up and who turned beautiful theI read It was a delight to actually see him grow as a person, to becomehuman I loved how Morrie was so fixated with choosing to be human above all else and keeping the human in us going I ve always felt that that was the ideal way to live and I m so happy that Morrie felt the same Of course he put me fareloquent than I ever could The LessonsBoy oh boy were they awesome Every time Morrie said something that echoed into my very being I dog eared it It s a guilty reflex that I developed when I was younger to dog ear favourite passages and I m happy to report that this book has a dog ear on every page you know I really like a book when that s all you see Morrie made me cry, laugh, think, and most importantly feel Books that touch me like this one are few and very very dear in my heart I m absolutely delighted that I took the time to read this book Time is precious and I m happy some of it went to reading this book

    I first watched the movie on TV,not knowing the story, but because I was attracted to the actors Jack Lemmon, played the lead role as Morrie Schwarz, in what would be his last time on screen Another actor I admired was the multi talented Hank Azaria, who does voices for characters on The Simpsons and was Nat the dog walker on Mad About You I then saw Mitch Albom interviewed on OPRAH,and was struck by his honesty and humility and how one person could change your whole life,values and tho I first watched the movie on TV,not knowing the story, but because I was attracted to the actors Jack Lemmon, played the lead role as Morrie Schwarz, in what would be his last time on screen Another actor I admired was the multi talented Hank Azaria, who does voices for characters on The Simpsons and was Nat the dog walker on Mad About You I then saw Mitch Albom interviewed on OPRAH,and was struck by his honesty and humility and how one person could change your whole life,values and thoughts I made it an issue of utmost urgency to read the book I was then able to identify the characters and realized that the portrayal by the actors of Morrie and Mitch was beyond measure This is a book that will b one of the best books you will read, maybe because I have a physical disability I m biased feel free to find out for yourselves
